Greetings from Servetus the Evangelical in the name of the one and only God, the Father Almighty, and in the name of his blessed Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome to this website and the presentation of my book,The Restitution of Jesus Christ (2008). I published it with this pseudonym to temporarily remain anonymous. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I revealed my identity earlier than planned, on 11/19/2009, as Kermit Zarley.
The book, The Restitution of Jesus Christ, is my magnum opus. Over twenty-five years in the making, it is a sophisticated theological tome of 600 pages in length. In it, I seek to restore the true identity of Jesus of Nazareth. Solely on the basis of the Bible, and a fairly conservative view of its inspiration, this book challenges the traditional church dogma that Jesus is God. Yet it also affirms all other major church teachings about Jesus, including his virgin birth, miracles, sinless life, atoning death for others, resurrection from the dead, ascension to heaven, exaltation there, and future return to earth to establish his glorious, worldwide kingdom of peace.
The pseudonym derives from Michael Servetus (Sp. Miguel Serveto). He was a Spaniard who lived in Europe in the 16th century. As a young, devout Roman Catholic, Servetus wrote a book in which he refuted his church's doctrine of the Trinity. Due to opposition by both his church and the Protestant Church, Servetus changed his name and became a medical doctor. But twenty years later he published another, larger book--The Restitution of Christianity. It got him arrested and executed as an alleged heretic. My book and this website were launched on September 29, 2008, to commemorate the 497th anniversary of Servetus' birth date.
This authorof The Restitution of Jesus Christ has been an Evangelical Christian involved in public ministry almost all of his adult life. As a former Trinitarian, I believed Jesus was and is God because, like most Christians, that is what I was taught. Years later, I undertook a very deep study of this subject and changed my belief about it. I have largely kept this study and theological change a secret all of these years mostly to avoid further rejection and persecution by my Christian brethren. In late 2009,
The tract, entitled The Real Jesus, is what I recommend visitors read first. It represents a brief summary of my book, The Restitution of Jesus Christ. Then visitors may want to read excerpts from this book and some of the articles on this website that are based on this book. See what folks are saying about me, my pseudonym, and the book by checking out The Buzz and Reviews. Finally, visitors can buythe book.
Watch Kermit's presentation at the 19th Annual Theological Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on April 28, 2010.
In late April, 2010, Kermit made his
first in-person contact with people of like faith in the One God
movement (=biblical unitarianism or Christian monotheism) by
attending the 19th annual Theological Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
It was hosted by the Atlanta Bible College and conducted by
ABC emeritus professor Sir Anthony Buzzard. Kermit was one of the
speakers, and there, on April 28, he delivered his first public
presentation about only the Father being God, so that Jesus is not
God. It was entitled, "Does the Bible Identify Jesus as God?"
(46 minutes) In his introduction, he told some stories about his
friend Evangelist Billy Graham because they first met at the Atlanta
Country Club while Kermit was competing there in the Atlanta Classic.
